David is a remarkable man of excellence, influence, and conviction. He is a graduate of Auburn University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Adult Education, and while attending there, he helped to lead the football team to three SEC Championships. David achieved his childhood dream and was drafted into the National Football League and played with the L.A. Rams for several years. Suddenly, he had everything he wanted, yet was missing something that he needed. He was wise enough to know that he needed Jesus on the throne of his life. During the height of his NFL career, he took off the helmet of the gridiron and put on the helmet of salvation. Football was no longer #1 and this was to be the turning point in his life. A natural communicator, he began witnessing to teammates on a personal mission to win them over to the Lord.  After retirement from football, David witnessed a lack of zeal and boldness in faith among the body of Christ, so he answered God’s call to ministry.

He also has a degree from the Connecticut School of Broadcasting, with an extensive background in the field of radio and television talk shows (TBN, ESPN, and WATC in particular); and motivational and ministerial speaking.  David spent over a decade coaching football on the high school and collegiate levels, where he was able to form lasting relationships with many of the student-athletes as a mentor and friend.

He is presently working in the public school system, but his true passion is Ministry.  He is the Associate Pastor at The Connection Church in Jonesboro, GA.  In order to strengthen the ministerial calling on his life, he is working on obtaining his Master’s Degree in Christian Leadership from Luther Rice University.  He and his wife reside in the suburbs of Atlanta, GA where David is still pressing toward the mark to bring glory to God by spreading the gospel to all who will listen.
